Bin Laden, who has been blamed by the US for the attacks, was not seen in the video. Correspondents say it is impossible to independently verify that the voice does belong to Osama Bin Laden, although they think it is sounds very similar to previous tapes of the al-Qaeda leader. The voice heard on the tape praises the hijackers and says they changed the course of history. It is not clear when the tape was made, or where. The TV also showed other clips of young men it said were the hijackers undergoing training in Afghanistan - they appeared to be studying maps and aircraft manuals. The Qatar-based al-Jazeera satellite says it will air the tapes in full on Thursday.
